A masterclass in the "do"s and "don't"s of good communications, co-ordinated by Keith Ewing of Tearfund and presented by PR consultant Sarah King.

The three sessions were divided into the themes of: Kiwi fruit
  • Developing and Managing a PR Campaign
  • Effective Media Relations
  • Issues in Crisis Management.

The delegates who attended this stream shared their own experience of some of the main issues and problems faced by communications professionals in the Christian sector, and volunteered examples of best practice. Sarah King's wealth of experience in the field of public relations proved invaluable as she talked about the importance of good communication not just with the media but with members of one's own organisation and other audiences. It was made abundantly clear in all of the discussions that took place in this stream that there is a real enthusiasm among the Christian Churches and organisations that were represented for positive and effective communications with the media.
